History of South Africa

South Africa was governed by white people. Eighty percent of the population were black people. In the 1990s Nelson Mandela wanted the equality for black people. He also wanted the same opportunities like the white people. A lot of black people worked for white people. They got not enough money for their hard work. Blacks worķed as servants, for instance.
The Apartheid-Regime kept different races apart. They were criticized by other countries. The countries stopped the trade. The ANC was governed Nelson Mandela, after his long time in captivity for over 20 years. He gave all black people new hope for equality. His biggest goal was freedom for themselves.
