İspanyolca (Meksika) hakkında soru

—Debe haber costado mucho conseguir esa victoria.

—Has cambiado tus planes solo para acompañarme.

In the first sentence, why isn't 'para' used before 'conseguir'? My understanding is that 'in order to' makes sense and therefore could be used there, just as it is used in the second sentence, "...in order to go with me."

I'd love for you to explain that to me, and also elaborate more on when and when not to use 'para,' gracias!
