Please could someone answer these two questions regarding the above text taken from my learning material ?

1) Given that we don't know what 'it' is, would it not be more common to use 'det' ?
2) I thought that 'precis' was used more to mean 'just' when it relates to recent time events, for example, "Hon fyllde precis fem." ?

@garydpoole I’d say you can use both ”Den” and ”Det” depending on the context. Regarding the 2nd question, “Just” can be translated into a lot of different Swedish words. ”Precis” is just one of them.

@erorikoka29 Interesting as I thought that 'bara' was quite commonly used to mean, "just". So when you say weird, what would this sentence literally translate to ? TSM !

I checked for my own sake on Google Translate and it seems like “Bara” can be used in this context too. But I’d probably use “Precis”, maybe that's a dialectical thing. Since I use a completely different word for both of them and several other words as well. Which most people down here don't understand along with LOADS of other words from that dialect. I'm speaking 2 dialects at once so it's a little complicated 😂

@erorikoka29 Ah, I see. I guess most of the Swedish that's in text books that people like myself learn from is I believe, based upon that spoken in and around the Stockholm area. So maybe different ?
