Is it has an analogy with the phrase from meme "Joke's on you"? i.e. to show that instead of people think they have made fun of me, I emphasize that the truth is anithetical to the original joke. It's still contradictory, although, perhaps it only works on jokes? Well, probably it's not that analogical. I'm not sure. I need your confirmation.
