İngilizce (ABD) hakkında soru

There has been a lot of public discussion on whether or not democratic activity should promote the spread of democracy to nondemocratic nations. I believe the idea of democracy should be prevailed to nondemocratic countries for the following reasons.
First, people living in nondemocratic nations cannot express what they think freely. Generally speaking, nondemocratic countries tend to restrict their citizens from expressing their thought in order to defend nation’s authority. However, the right of freedom of speech is one of the most important rights for human beings. Governments must not infringe this right.
Secondly, economy would stagnate in nondemocratic nations. Nondemocratic countries do not introduce capitalism, which let companies not to develop more useful products since they do not need to compete with each other in the countries. As a result, they will loose power to compete with other countries and decline their economy.

Could someone please fix my sentence?
This is an exercise essay for the English grammar exam.

On the day of the test, I will not be allowed to check any website or books and I will need to write three reasons to support my answer, which must be no more than 200 words and must be completed within 30 minutes.
I wrote this under the same conditions as the real thing, so I was not able to provide sufficient evidence.
Also, since I am not good at English, I prioritize the English I am comfortable writing rather than the opinions I really have.
