I'm a self-employed language teacher specializing in English as a Second Language and Mandarin Chinese (with a focus on teaching English).

I have lived on Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands (a U.S. territory) for longer than I've lived anywhere else. I've also spent eleven years in Illinois, three in Connecticut, three in Switzerland, four in Hawaii and three in Georgia (state). I've spent a little more than a year each in Turkey, China and South Korea. I've also traveled to dozens of other countries throughout the northern hemisphere. I hope to return to some places I've traveled in the past and also to visit more places I've never been before.

I have a B.A. in Asian Studies, with a minor in Humanities, and I have a post-baccalaureate certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (Applied Linguistics).
