A: @WechatMaria20150617 Right. One of the definitions offered by the Cambridge Dictionary (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/exhaust) is "to use something completely". The example phrase there might help you understand this particular meaning and definition better: "We seem to have exhausted this topic of conversation (= we have nothing new to say about it)."

In your example, the topic is NOT exhausted, so it is not discussed in every possible detail.

A: Hi Mrtn,

--

Nevertheless the story makes you reflect ON what it is to be normal and what IS not. AT the end OF THE DAY, we are ALL people with DIFFERENT skills and INTERESTS. From the beginning the story CAUGHT my EYE, constantly DEALING OUT unpredictable surprises. Also the author INCORPORATED pictures FROM his own collection that really attracted MY attention and they ALSO SERVED as guide during the REST OF THE story. SO for me it WAS interesting, entertaining and more (I'M NOT SURE WHAT THIS LAST BIT MEANS)

--

DEALING OUT still sounds a bit strange, I'd restructure it to say "with lots of surprises" or similar.

--

If you want an explanation of any of these changes just let me know and I will try to give you one ;) This is a pretty advanced piece of writing so don't feel bad that I changed a bunch of things to make it more natural ;)
