Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Pls"

A: Honestly, I am not sure what the speaker means when they say "the same". They might want you to message them on WhatsApp (because WhatsApp is *the same* messaging service that they sent the file on), but their meaning is unclear. You might want to send a message to them to fully understand the meaning.

You could send something like this:

You would usually start with some polite phrase like,
"Excuse me, do you have a minute?"
"Pardon me, could I have a moment of your time?"
"Pardon me, [teacher's name], is now a good time for a question?"

"Pardon me" is more formal than, "Excuse me."

Then you would state your request
"I need to ask for an extension on [assignment name's]."


Then, you offer an explanation for why you need an extension, the first two are past tense and the last one is future.
"I was sick over the weekend and so I was unable to complete the assignment in the given time."
"I had an important appointment which prevented me from completing this assignment in a timely fashion."
"I know the assignment is due on [due date] but because I have to take my mother to her appointment, I won't be able to finish in the allotted time."

And then end with restating the request in another way, including the amount of time you're requesting such as
"And that's why I'm hoping you'll give me a [amount of time] extension on this assignment."
"That is why I am requesting a [amount of time] extension."
"So, I'm requesting an extension, whatever extra time you'd be willing to allow me."

Then you wait for a response and, whether the answer is yes or no, you end by thanking the teacher for their time, and the extension if it is given.
If the teacher refuses the extension:
"Well, thank you for your time."
"Thank you for listening."

If the extension is granted:
"Thank you, I'm grateful for the added time and will have the assignment on your desk [ or "in your inbox"] by [the date or time it is now due].
"Thank you very much. I'll be sure to have the assignment turned in on [the date it is now due."

Then whatever the polite way to say goodbye is in your culture.

"the" is typically goes before nouns.

Crammed has a couple of different meanings, crammed can be used to describe a something that is nearly/is overflowing “that box is crammed with papers.” Crammed can be used to describe people or things that are forced into a space that’s too small “how did you cram all of them/that in here?!” or you can use Cram to describe studying intensively for a short period of time before exams “I only have 3 hours to study, I need to cram”
