Q: I'm reading an extract from a book. What do you think about it ? bu doğru görünüyor mu?
A: It's really pretty good, though I had to listen twice to get the second verb, since the stress was off.
If you want to work on your pronunciation, you could try listening to eBooks read by people whose accent you like, I would suggest trying to find one particular accent rather than different ones if you're aiming at sounding like a native. Of course, watching lots of films and mimicking would also work :)
When you're good, one of the greatest challenges is word stress, here are a few links that might help:

Again, I do insist that you're really good, I am talking about making it perfect here. ;)
Q: "excess extract"
How to pronounce these two words? For "excess", why do some dictionaries pronounce "ixcess" while others pronounce "excess"?
A: In North American English especially, a lot of sounds can easily get mixed up because we are generally pretty lazy at pronunciation. Excess is the way to go though, it's the clearest and you can't go wrong with it.
