The toilet is the thing you sit on in the bathroom.

A restroom is usually just what's in public places like a restaurant because there's only toilets.
The US doesn't really use washroom so I don't know about that.
However, bathroom and restroom are often used interchangeably even though they are slightly different.

knock,knock
A"Is anyone in?"
B"already here!"
A:
At a restaurant or public restroom the conversation would be:
A. Knock, Knock (person knocking)
B. It’s Busy..(person inside restroom)
That’s basically it. There really is no conversation because first you try and open the door. If someone is in there, it’s more likely that the door is locked. Most times they will either say “busy” or not respond at all.
At home it’s a little bit more open because it’s probably a family member or a friend. In both cases the conversation would be like:
A. Knock Knock...who’s in there?
B. I’ll be out in a minute...
A. OMG. Hurry up! (Lol)

Q:
Bunu İngilizce (ABD) da nasıl dersiniz? What is the difference* between bathroom and restroom? 🤔
A:
In American English, there is no difference--we use them interchangeably. Especially when saying, "I need to go to the bathroom/restroom"=I need to use the toilet. I tend to use restroom when I am in a public place, as it only has toilets and sinks. And then I use bathroom when I am asking about where the bathroom is in someone's house because it will tend to have a shower/bath in it. But I still use either one in both contexts. Restroom is just a polite way to say "place where the toilet is".
