Also, I did a little research on my native language and it appears that when using the word good looking, it can get a little complicated to choose the correct comparative and superlative if you want to be grammatically correct.

I hope this information is helpful. Among native English speakers, I rarely hear the phrase, "He is more good looking". I usually hear and I always say, "He is better looking". You may be grammatically correct either way depending on the context of the sentence, but if you want to sound more native, I would say: "He is good looking, he is better looking, or he is the best looking". This would apply to the U.S.A and the U.K. English speakers.

Q:
Which one is right and why?
(Mas é o corpo de Leo que está shifting into high gear)
1. But is Leo’s body shifting into high gear
2. But it’s Leo’s body shifting into high gear
3. But it’s Leo’s body that’s shifting into high gear
CONTEXT:
I’m reading a book, and a sentence with “shift into high gear” has appeared. Idk what it was, so I asked my teacher. My teacher wasn’t really sure, so she aswered what a gear is. But I wanted to ask what the phrase was saying, so I asked one of the phrases above, meaning that was a human shifting in the book, not a machine.

It makes the most sense.
1 is phrased as a question, “But IS Leo’s body shifting into a high gear?”
2 could also be correct, depending on the surrounding sentences.
“That” implies a comparison, in order for 3 to be correct, there needs to be something else that Leo’s body is shifting into high gear INSTEAD of.
The absence of that makes it sound like Leo’s body was being distracting by shifting into a high gear, and another character/the narrator was commenting on it.
i.e.
“There was a strange growl coming from the back of Leo’s throat, but it’s Leo’s body shifting into high gear.”
Note: adding “just” between “it’s” and “Leo’s” would make this much clearer.
Hope this makes sense, it’s hard explaining grammar nuances sometimes! :)
